Position Description: Part-time Evening Baker
Reports To: Kitchen Manager
Shift: Tuesday – Thursday, 5 to 10 pm, occasional Saturdays and Holidays
Position Statement: This position is responsible for preparing baked items for wholesale contracts and the Bakery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make pastry for butter tarts and pies
- Prepare fillings for butter tarts and pies and bake
- Prepare and bake shortbread
- Clean workstation, wash dishes and sweep/mop floor at workstation
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years experience in a commercial kitchen setting
- Possess a current food handler certificate
Position Description: Part-time Line Cook
Reports To: Kitchen Manager
Shift: Sunday – Tuesday 7 am to 3 pm, occasional Saturdays and Holidays
Position Statement: This position is responsible for providing customers with fresh and nicely presented food choices. There is the opportunity for this position to evolve into a full-time position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform opening duties for kitchen and sandwich counter, e.g., pastry, quiche, butter tarts.
- Prepare, cook and elegantly plate meals for inhouse dining and present to tables as appropriate.
- Prepare fresh food product for Grab N’ Go, including but not limited to, salads, wraps.
- Prepare breakfast and lunch takeout menu items.
- Prepare sandwich and salad catering trays.
- Prep food items for following day, e.g., dressings, mixes.
- Organize, prep and prepare catering orders for the day.
- Maintain a clean station, wash dishes and attend to closing duties for the line station.
- Assist the front of house staff if necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years experience in a commercial kitchen setting
- Possess a current food handler certificate
